Yoga is as much about the architecture of the body and the design of the inner world as it is about connecting to your environment. Just as the state of mind influences the perception and experience of your surroundings, the same is true vice versa.
The design of Renaissance began with a single question: “If we could have carte-blanche to design from scratch the ideal space for our yoga, meditation, massage and martial arts practices, what would it feel and look like?”
The White Room
An open, spacious room inspired by the Montréal downtown skyscape featuring warmed with the welcoming elements found in Renaissance-era design. Daylight floods the space with a light airy feel; evenings are softened by soft lighting and scores of candles.
An integral element of Renaissance is music. We are music lovers. The ears are one of the first organs to develop in the human embryo and listening to our music offerings on the state of the art hi-fi sound system will, we believe, delight and inspire teachers and students.
The modern Canadian design elements of The White Room blend seamlessly with the antique wooden accents from India to create both the exotic far-away feel for the body to voyage across via the pacifying stimulation of the senses and at the same time the grounded, familiar, warmth of home.
